               Precision Fitness Bowl Off         


The 1st annual Precision Fitness Bowl Off was held on November 21, 2006 at the Lucky Strike Lanes located at The Block of Orange (www.bowlluckystrike.com).  PF founder, Mike Salerno, and his lovely wife Jennifer hosted the event.  Despite the holiday traffic, attendees came from all around to represent their respective gyms: Anaheim Hills, Brea, and Redondo Beach.  A great time was had by all in the private and plush environment which included a lounge area, 6 lanes, big screens showing popular movies, and blaring music.  We were a Rockin' and a Bowlin'!  (And you'd never guess that these were all gym members by the way everyone was carb-loading on the delicious hors d'oeuvres, pizza, french fries, beer, and wine!  Possibly preparing for the tournament.... yeah, right.)

The tournament began at 7:00 pm and ran until 9:00 pm.  The individual with the highest score would win the tropy for their respective gym where it  would be proudly displayed until the next tournament.  There may have been dropped balls, gutter balls, cuts, swollen fingers, broken fingernails, and maybe a bruised ego or two but there definitely wasn't a lack of fun!  Everyone, including the first time bowlers, tried their hardest.  It was a close race but Redondo Beach managed to win with a top score of 161 (much to the chagrin of Mike who was representing Anaheim Hills).  

The nite closed with the tropy presentation, a bowling ball rolling down an aisle that clearly wasn't a lane - knocking over who-knows-what was behind Curtain #2,  and the teams looking forward to another chance next year to take home the coveted trophy and title!
