Precision Fitness Holiday Bowl Off

Capping off the year was the highly anticipated Precision Fitness Holiday Bowl Off.  It was held on November 30th at the Lucky Strike Lanes in Orange.  PF Corporate sponsors this event so that members have a chance for some fun and fraternizing outside of the gym(s).

As the PF family grows so do the number of competing teams.  The usual suspects, Anaheim Hills, Redondo Beach, and Riverside gyms were on hand.  This year we were fortunate to have the Cerritos gym join in on the fun.  And while they weren't able to attend, members from Newport Beach, Placentia, and the San Diego gyms were with us in spirit!

The gym with the highest average score would take home the trophy, but more importantly, the title.  Anaheim Hills, the defending champs, had their work cut out for them.  Cerritos and Riverside were determined to make Anaheim Hills sweat.  And Redondo Beach had a different strategy by providing their very own (and very loud) cheerleaders.

After all the hootin' and hollerin', talking smack, strikes and gutterballs, everyone turned out to be a winner and deserves congratulations.  Anaheim Hills was the clear champ with the highest average score.  Cerritos came in 2nd place.  And believe it or not, Redondo Beach and Riverside actually tied for 3rd place.

Good friends and good times - what a great way to end the PF year.  We all look forward to the next time when we get together for more fun - and of course, bowling.  :)

Vampire Lesbians of Sodom by Charles Busch

First performed at the Limbo Lounge in New York City's East Village in 1984.  It became so popular it was moved to Off-Broadway.  It is one of the longest running plays in Off-Broadway history.

The play is about the bitter rivalry between a vampire and her victim through the ages.  It took you from a botched virgin sacrifice in ancient Sodom, thru the roaring '20s, to Las Vegas in the '80s.   The audience was treated to outrageous costumes, silly songs and dancing, and hilarious one-liners that kept them laughing throughout the play.

Former Redondo Beach member, Kimshelley Garner, co-produced, created the costumes, and starred in the recent production at the Black Box Theater in Hollywood.

Gym members Mario, Jessica, Buddy, and Christie were there to cheer her on.

The 12 Bars of Christmas

There was a slight twist to this year's holiday celebration!  A group decided to spread the holiday cheer.  Why should you only go to one bar when you have enough cheer to go around for 12?!  Lots of fun and lots of spirits made for a memorable time.
